Kalmakoff Good, reliable vehicle April 03, 2015 XE
Overall Score
I enjoyed my Saturn Astra very much. It is a decent car, not much power but that's not the reason for buying an Astra. Very spacious for cargo, especially with rear seats folded down. Disappointed with lack of an AUX input, and fuel economy was not quite as promised, but still a well-designed compact hatchback. Overall, its a really good car, drives well in the winter and is very reliable.

On certain vehicles, the driver frontal airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure during airbag deployment. Increased pressure may cause the inflator to rupture, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury. This could also damage the airbag module, which could prevent proper deployment. Failure of the airbag to fully deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the driver airbag inflator on Saab 9-3 and 9-5 vehicles and replace the driver airbag module on Saturn Astra vehicles.

On certain vehicles, the tire information label may contain incorrect front tire size information. The label indicates P2105/55R16, but instead should read P205/55R16. Correction: General Motors will advise customers and retailers of the condition and the correct tire specification in the form of a letter which is to be kept with the vehicle owner's manual.
