BMW X5 M 2010-2013Change

Been driving BMW's most of my adult life. Always wanted an M car but couldn't afford the cost involved. I finally found a mint condition 2010 X5 M at a great price. The power is exceptional, comfort over the top and handling like a sports car (in a SUV chassis). So much technology in the newer BMW's. Aside from a few minor glitches that have been resolved (vacuum leak from PVC) it's been a dream to drive. Fuel consumption, if you don't hammer the throttle at every stop light it is comparable to my old X5 4.4 - throttle down, the beast is guzzling the gas faster than Norman with a pint from Cheers!

Overall, very satisfying to own and drive. Take care of it, and it will take care of you. Maintenance can be expensive and more finicky than non M cars. Parts are harder to get or not in stock. Best to have a back up vehicle in the family in case. ; )

But I knew that going into this purchase. It's an "M" - what's not to LOVE! Handling is precise and predictable. Performance is top tier. Fit and finish is superb. The fuel is not so bad when driven conservatively for it's benefits (power), you see the gauge drop when hammered on! Would highly recommend to any sport driver enthusiast. They do require more meticulous attention to proper service and up-keep. So much technology involved. Thanks BMW for such an exciting Road Warrior!

The X5M is bar none the fastest SUV on the planet. Like every M vehicle BMW builds, this one can be driven comfortable in traffic and can perform with the spirit of a true sports car. The balance and handling were a big surprise, the engine wasn't. Its feels like 555hp, more so in launch control.
The real surprise was the cold weather characteristics of this vehicle. It was the best 'winter beater' I've had the pleasure to drift around the snowy corners of a Wal-Mart parking lot. It certainly gives you a confident feel.

I highly recommend comparing this vehicle to any, because it can't be beat.

Very Powerful SUV handles like a race car a tad stiff on M Mode but thats the way it is and handles fantastic. Pass anything on the road with ease.

I purchased the x5M after owning two Cayenne turbo's. Firstly th M has been more reliable and is a sportier drive. It os not the best on fuel but what is with over 500hp. Overall this is the perfect go fast vehicle for all weather drving..

The x5 M is a reliable car because its good in winters and summer. Really smooth ride you never get bored of it especially cause of the power it has. For sure would recommend it! I also like the bumper sensors as well as the moonroof its really convenient. Car also has a good resale value which is another upside to it the only thing that might be a problem it nowadays economy is the engine size but it gives good mileage on highways. You will not see any engine problems only after you hit 180,000km if you maintain it properly.

luxury meets performance meets fun. you gotta drive one. great on long trips when you can open it up on the highway. also great for a quick trip to the store.
