Buick Regal 1973-2015Change

In 2008 i bought a used Buick Regal LS with 60 thousand Kilcks on it. Best car I have ever had. Reliable, comfortable, decent power 3.8 litre v6. All the bells and whistles. Decent gas mileage and very understated.

I have owned this car for 20 years and have never had any trouble with it. Low mileage, great gas mileage, body is in good shape. Would buy this car every time.

this is one of the better cars I have ever owned it has style comfort and the road handling is second to none so if you are into a new car I would try out the buick you wont be sorry

Most cars start to look outdated after 14 years on the road when side by side with today's more modern vehicles. Not my 2003 Buick Regal though. I'll take her any day when compared to a lot of the "newer" vehicles I see. If it is not broke, do not fix it they say which is just one of the reasons I still drive and love my ride.

This is the second Buick regal I have owned. I absolutly love this car. It gives a smooth ride, looks great , is comfortable to sit in. It has lots of space inside and in the trunk. Can comfortable sit 5 with lots of leg room.

I am so appreciative of this vehicle. It is a real blessing. Even after 14 years I still love the way it looks and performs.

I have nothing but good things to say about this car. I have had very few problems with it outside of normal maintenance and wear and tear. It is perfect for me.

I had a lot of car honda toyota ford but never i have been so happy with a car.Near the perfection nothing bad to say

although it had some minor issues, it was very reliable and is the perfect highway car. great sound system as well

Very stylish German-designed (see Opel Insignia) premium FWD sedan. Purchased at 5 years/63,000 km.
Interior quiet with road noise coming only through the tires. Seats and steering on the firm side; Might become tiring on a long trip. Engine performance adequate for a 4-cylinder pulling a 3700 lb. car. Handling is tight and responsive; the car's girth can be felt through the steering wheel.
2010-11 GM Ecotech 2.4L engine defect repaired under Special Coverage warranty (#12313B): Loosened (noisy) timing chain caused by faulty guides and potentially faulty high-pressure fuel pump (on engine) replaced at no cost to me.
Engine and transmission working fine at this time. Fuel econmy good (9.9L/100km; regular gasoline). (Personally wish it were a V-6.)
Car's StabiliTrak occasionally signals 'Service StabiliTrak' message that 2 GM dealerships could not diagnose (no OBD codes detected). Has no effect on car's performance.
My wife finds the car difficult to enter/exit due to the low seat stance and heavy doors; I'm OK with it.
Infotainment system somewhat complicated; too many buttons and menus. Can become distracting while driving.

I have a 2011 Buick Regal Turbo, in Summit White with a 35% tint. Let me tell you the car is simply stunning, i have had so many compliments about its appearance. The only other upgrade is a waterfall grill in the lower grill opening that makes the front appear much better IMO. Otherwise the car is bone stock. It rides great, sporty feel with a plush ride over the roughest of roads. This car handles like a sports sedan should, very tight in the curves, no wander under braking, and just the right amount of power when needed. Entering on ramps to the highway I find myself at 150kph before even coming close to the merge lines. The center console and dash feel like it wraps around your body like cockpit of a jet, I feel so comfortable and safe behind the wheel of this car. Gas mileage is decent but its hard to tell when its so fun to drive the car rather than pedal it. I may install a cold air intake but as of now the power is very decent, this car has great bang for the buck. If you have a chance to drive one or own one, dont hesitate.

This car hadles really well. Soft ride,holds the road well in corners etc.Gauges and dash layout is great,never any problems with gauges. Factory sound system is fantastic,lots of speakers. Gas mileage average 20-24 city and 28-31 hwy.
If you ever drove a Buick you would know the quality in these vehicles.

I just got this Regal, it is a great looking car and the drive and handling is really good too. I have the AWD, will let you know later how this works in the snow. One thing I don't like, the centre console is very limited in space vs the competition. Cup holders are too far back, centre storage is small and there is no cubby hole under the center stack. Seems to me that the ergonomics of this area could be improved (although there is a pretty good size storage bin below the headlight switch.

I have had an Audi A4 and Mercedes C series, this car is comparable in drive and size at a lower cost. We'll have to see how it holds up on reliability and build quality (and re-sale value), however at first blush I would and have taken this over the Cadillac ATS.

The performance of this vehicle is superb. The 2L Turbo provides great pick-up with no lag. The finishing of this car is outstanding. If you owe one you will never want to let it go.

I test drove this vehicle and wanted something sporty, fuel efficient and safe. I test drove many cars, my t.d. consisted of driving at least 80km/hr and slamming on the brakes, all other cars I test drove swirrved at the rear and the Regal is solid! Didn't move, stayed right on course! I was really impressed. It has 5 star safety ratings for front, rear and side impact. Great interior styling-no cheap materials, but be careful how you clean the interior with its piano finish. You don't want to scratch it. I am particular so mine looks good. Outside styling, love it! Great car, very happy I purchased it!

The 1998 Regal GS was the fastest Buick that GM made since the 1987 Grand National, but its speed and power are not its only virtues. Good fuel economy, nice features and a sleek look make this a great choice for a quality used car.

The car is reliable with outstanding performance. In twelve years, the only problems were warranty repair of the drivers heated seat and a fuel pump replacement. Other than that only regular maintenance twice a year. The car had options way ahead of its time.

No better out there !

Easy to drive, very comfortable, good size. Fuel economy is pretty good for the excellent driving performance.

gas mileage was terrific in it's early days. Now, 13yrs later I only get 425-450Km per tank (65lit). Terrible!!

I've taken excellent care of the vehicle over the yrs. Am a good driver - meaning no over acceleration or hyper acceleration, lack of oil changes, etc.

Also had problems over the yrs with the power windows not working - one still doesn't work;

crystal odometer stopped working - cost $250 to fix;

driver heated seat stopped working in 2003 - would have cost me more than $500 to fix, so I didn't - I can live without.

replaced the steering column switch new, new front brakes, new battery and alternator. runs excellent 37 miles hwy and 24 city. has a small oil leak and does not burn any oil. recent trip to manitoba got 37 -38 mpg. great vavle

This is a very comfortable smooth riding car with lots of power from the 3800 V6, its roomy even for the very tall, the leather is in great shape, and everything about this car is clean, body, windshield, etc. the trunk is large and the back seats drop forward to make even more space if needed. The car handles tight like new its been well maintained and looks like it.

I have a 2011 Regal Turbo and the first thing that grabbed me about this car was the styling. I think it is one of the best-looking designs on the road. Interior design is good but not quite up to the standard set by the exterior. Room inside could be better given the size of the car, as it is a bit tight especially in the rear seat. Seats are a bit firm and not the usual Buick armchairs.

I drove both the 2.4 and the Turbo and had to have the Turbo. I found the base engine a bit underpowered but the Turbo transforms the car. The automatic transmission works OK but it has an annoying tendency to pause for a second when almost coming to a stop and then wanting to accelerate. The chassis gives excellent handling without the roll of Buicks of old, at the expense of a bit of smoothness, but it is a tradeoff I like.

I have had a few issues in 18 months of ownershio. The center console creaks annoyingly, and a couple of times the car has seemingly lost its turbo boost, although a restart solves that. On cold startup the engine seems to sound like a diesel; I understand this is a characteristic of direct-injection engines. There is an annoying buzz from the headliner sometimes also. The dealer service department is useless and unable to resolve any of these so far.

Aside from the subpar dealer experience I like the car a lot. It is expensive though and I don't know if it is the best value. But if you fall for good looks sometimes you have to pay for that.

Truly the best car that I owned. Originally custom ordered by my mother who loved to drive this car. Economical and reliable car. Great performance from the 3.8 V6 fuel injected engine and 4 speed automatic transmission.

Really enjoyed owning this car, its spacious but not a boat, it has incredible trunk space, new winters studded ready for next year, the engine is supercharged, it has the get-up-and-go for when you need it to, does call for premium gas, i used premium gas, the sunroof is a great bonus, makes it brighter inside the car. I had a touch-screen stereo-nav-bluetooth system installed just before christmas with 4 new speakers... Lost my license so theres no point in sitting on a valuable car when i have two children to care for.
