The added height gives it a great view of the road. Comfortable and powerful, and it;s just had short in-town and near-by cottage runs -- so it's just nicely broken in.

It's a good truck with a nice amount of room and comfort, though the center consul is cheap and breaks or cracks easily. I wouldn't keep these trucks much beyond the warranty yrs, they do begin to nickel and dime you cos little things constantly start to pop up that need repairs. Powertrain isn't the best in these trucks, the 5.3L engine does have a good amount of power, but hasn't the best drivetrain and the transmission and transfer case can give u troubles, as I've had others that told me they had to replace one or the other. The push button shifter for the drive select for awd, 2/4wd sometimes doesn't work and has to be reset. GM really needs to come up with a better warranty system, and do warranty repairs properly the first time and not "mickey mouse" the repairs only to keep everything working well until the warranty is past then more serious problems seem to arise.

ive had little to no issues with this truck. decided to put in a supercharger for increased power, then a few years later bought a new truck. it has been sitting for the past year and a half at the mechanics getting all the odds and ends buttoned up. live in bc now, but the truck is still in alberta. boosts 4.25psi, truck can handle up to 7psi. don't have the time anymore to work on it. perfect project build, or all around everyday driver.

Very Reliable Truck, I have had no issues with it or any major repairs. Mostly Highway miles. Very little towing has been done, but what it has towed there were no issues.

this truck runs excellent even with the Kilometers it has on it there are numerous updates been done to this truck

Besides the 'basic' interior look, this truck is one of the best in it's class.

The 5.3L has so much power with instant response from the gas peddle. And with the VVT, it has great gas mileage, especially on those long trips on the highway. The 1500's are so much smoother on the road than the HD versions of these trucks, but besides the overall size, don't lack in the towing/hauling power either.

A truck will always be a truck- as gas guzzler in town and limited interior features- but on the other hand- a truck will always be a truck- endless capabilities, bullet proof and THE most useful vehicle you can buy.

Chev has perfected it and these brands of trucks are in a class of its own.

Purchased this truck used from Sherwood Chev in Saskatoon 4 March 2013.I had been looking for a truck like this with the 6.2L engine but there was nothing good out there.As luck would have it a 6.2 L truck came up and I bought it.I have put about 2000 Kms on this truck and really enjoyed it.Good performance,smooth ride,good power.It has been well looked after.Gerry

This is a great truck. Lots of power. It Is the smoothest riding truck I have been in. It handles great. The only thing I don't like about the truck is how the 8 cylinders drops down to 4 cylinders. It only works when your foot is not on the gas. As soon as you touch the gas it jumps back to 8 cylinders. Witch is good for power wise but bad for gas wise. Witch is what it is for. Over all it is a great truck.

This is a great truck. Lots of room in the cab which seats 6 comfortably. Truck comes equiped: AC, auto daytime running lights, CD player, Mp3 jack, Cruise Control, attached tool box in bed of truck- BetterBuilt brand.onlyn 143,436 miles, truck has been maintained every 3000 miles with oil and serviced at 120,000 miles as well.

I just love driving this truck... It's been so good too me here.... I wish someone good will receive it and enjoy it as much as I did

Bought this truck in Burlington 4 years ago. Put approximately 70,000 km on it in 4 years. Never faltered, never in the shop. Brought it in after having it for a couple years for a tune up and a once over. Has not been in the shop since other than for regular oil and filter changes (always synthetic). Maintenance records available. 4 all-terrain tires about 1 year old. Occasionally pulled 5'x10' cargo trailer. Was in the body shop twice, once for grazing a concrete pier in a job site parking lot (passenger side of bed) and once for a deer which ran into the driver side door. Love this truck, simply downsizing to save gas money.

i have had this truck for a little over a year and i havent had any problems with it yet, it has over 350,000 km and it still runs great. i would recommend this truck to anyone looking to buy a truck

Reliable tough truck. Has a good solid ride and is very capable when hauling loads or towing trailers.

Bought this truck second hand 2 years ago. Have not had one problem or complaint about the truck. The gas mileage could be better. Is a lo quietier than my 2001 Dodge truck was. Has a more solid feel than the Dodge . Have driven many times to Calgary, Lethbridge and also to Radium B.C. Very comfortable seats and ride. Would reccomend this truck to anyone.

This truck has been a pet project. I love it to death. If it weren't for the fact that I will be moving to the city, I would keep it. I have put the best of everything into it. It looks slick, and performs like a champ.

2007 Chev Silverado with Z71 and LTZ packages . I bought this truck in 2009 with 55,000 km on it and now have over 200.000 km. I have had no repairs other than wear items auch as tires (145,000 km) and windsheild wipers. It still has original brakes. I have no complaints with this vehicle and pull a 7,000 lb boat and trailer with it. Excellent truck.

There has been many times where the weather has been terrible, and if it weren't for this truck and it's very capable 4X4, it would probably be in the scrapyard. Luckily, this is a reliable vehicle. It's comfortable, and fun to drive. Very fast if that's what your into, and yet good on fuel (for a truck).

I have driven Chev or GMC 1/2 ton pickups all my life pretty much, and I got this one new in 2010. I find it very comfortable to drive in the city or a long highway trip, its quiet, steers and handles well. Fuel economy though could be better, although on the highway the 4.8 L V-8 does get decent mileage.
This truck being a 2 wheel drive does have excellent traction and I never have felt the need for a 4 wheel drive, my one complaint is like all current pickups, it is much higher off the ground that previous 2 wheel drive models I've owned, making entry and exit a little more difficult. I also find the seat upholstery much harder to clean than in previous models.

drove from toronto to montreal in -18C temperature and still only used $95.00 in gas. The 5.3L engine is great.

Minor repairs, and easy to repair when needed.

An awesome daily driver with many features. Can do anything you ask of it and then some. I would buy this vehicle time and time again. If you are looking for a great truck, choose this one!!

Have had this truck for almost two years now and have not had a single problem. My parents have also had one for four years and also have not had a single thing wrong with it.

I would highly recommend going with an LT trim or above if you're getting a 4x4 vehicle like I have. Aside from the added leather and some other features the most important thing you get is electronic 4x4 control with and automatic mode. In this mode the 4x4 is always active but not always engaged. The computer senses for any wheel slippage and engages 4x4 as needed. In this mode I do not see any noticeable drop in fuel economy compared to 2 wheel drive. I live in a city that gets a fair amount of snow and it's great to be able to pop it over to 'auto' 4x4 at the first snowfall and take it off in the spring. I'll even use it other times if it's very wet out. Can't state how much I love this feather.

My 4/5 for fuel economy is compared to other trucks. I think my 5.3L does a decent job and I get reasonably close to the rated 18/25 MPG.

Only downside would be interior design which is a bit dated compared to some of the other vehicles I've seen. However it is definitely functional and everything below the LTZ model is meant for a working man's truck and all the buttons and knobs can be used with gloves on (also great for cold weather areas). Love all the storage space and compartments though and the 2014 models coming out soon will refresh the interior with some more up to date features.

It has been my main vehicle for 6 years. The reason I bought a new one is cause I liked the new design, but the old one 2006 was as good. It is comfy, versatile, roomy and it is not bad on gas considering the size of the vehicle and motor. If I drive my Sentra I get sore in less then an hour. I can drive my Silverado all day long. I had no problem other than a windshield gasket making noise, but got fixed by the dealer under warranty. I know GM is no good at building small cars but pickup trucks are awesome.

Chevy Silverado is an excellent all round truck. Great ride, interior comfort and very reliable. Lots of room in the front and back seats. I take it everywhere I go and it has never let me down. will definitely buy another one in the future.
