Chevrolet Silverado 1500 1990-2013Change

I've only been pleased with my time with this truck. Most reliable truck that I have owned. Which is why, when I needed another truck in the family, I bought another Silverado.

I bought this truck have way through camping season. 1500 4x2 5.3L Extended Cab. The first thing I noticed was the comfortable ride. Great suspension. The 6way power seats are extremely comfortable. All the power I need and then some. I pull a 7000lb camper. This truck pulls it around like a tent trailer. Lots of power for the hills. I have found that the tow/haul mode is really only needed in the city and on hilly sections of the highway. For regular roads with not many hills I turn haul mode off.
Very competitive mileage with the fuel management system. All in all the best truck I have ever had.

I bought a regular cab short box pickup and the sales goof told me that a V6 would be better on fuel than a V8 - WRONG! This truck is 4x4 so its way too much truck for that little 4.3L and therefore it works 10 times harder and burns twice the gas. It looks cool but its slow, gutless, and hard on fuel...and the worst part? I can't sell it for any kind of reasonale amount because no one wants an underpowered gas hog.

The Silverado is the most reliable truck around and has all the power you need whether cruising or towing. Its a very stylish looking truck and comfort is totally there

This truck is not bad for comfort. Has enough leg room and space for extras. Mileage could be better and could have better seats in it.

I have had a 2002 Chevy Silverado for over 5 years now and it has been the most reliable vehicle that I have owned. I have owned 5 vehicles so far. I have put 150K on it and it is still running strong. The engine looks to be in very good condition and I had only had to replace the brakes on it. Whenever this vehicle kicks the bucket I will be going with a Silverado again

Love the truck, wish it got better fuel mileage. Like the front heated seats, wish the rear had heated seats also. Under seat storage would be nice. Great truck and has never let me down.

This is the best truck i have owned i am a roofer always pulling heavy loads this truck has the power stoping ability and looks overall amazing truck!

Great fuel economy for a truck, very reliable power and a very comfortable ride. I would reccomend this truck for anyone who doesn't want a giant truck but enjoys the power and reliability of a pick-up.

I bought this truck in June and drove it from Toronto to Halifax and found it to be very comfortable and pretty good on gas for a bigger truck. I love the double rear doors, they make everyday use of the backseats a cinch.

I like my Silverado LTZ overall. It was not the truck I intended to buy. I wanted two things (built in brake controller, and satellite radio) The dealer sold me a truck saying he could do it with factory parts to be just like the factory installed parts. They lied. They had to upgrade me to an LTZ just to keep me into a GM instead of switching to a Dodge. I was not happy and still I have a distaste in my mind over this truck. As soon as I can, I am switching to Dodge.

I have owned this truck for 3 years. It is a very comfy, and is very quiet. I have never had any problems with it, and I will be getting another for sure

This is the best truck I had ever had. Fuel Economy is the best. 1 tank of fuel a month. Can drive any where I want, when I want. The Interior is very comfortable. The controls are right where they should be. The best rated truck I had ever had.

This is a reliable truck, that has lots of room on the interior. Very comfortable for long drives with the whole family.

I've had my truck for 5 yrs now, probably the best vehicle I've had in my 22 yrs of driving, not perfect but no major problems. Very comfortable ride, great in snowy, stormy Canadian weather.

I would strongly recommend this vehicle.

I rented a moving truck and when I arrived at the rental company, all they had left was this Silverado. I honestly thought my moving plan were ruined but this truck did the job and then some.

we moved all my furniture in it, and my friends and I even took it for a cruise in downtown Toronto, blaring country music. This was a fun truck, it was the champagne beige color, interior was comfortable, the bed was easy to climb into. Stereo was nice and the truck was easy to drive and park. Heavy on gas but hey, what do you expect!

Great truck.

Although a pig on gas, this truck is very reliable and performs very good. Being an extended cab, there is not a lot of room in the back seats making it an uncomfortable ride back there. The front seats are ok, but when driving for a long period of time does not give the comfort we were looking for. Great air and heat, and very nice dashboard.

These trucks are made amazing, I've had no issues with this vehicle and it drives like a dream!! I have friends with dodge and Ford trucks and they can not compare to the Chevy, The look of the Chev in my opinion is by far the best and rides the best as well

This truck was comfortable. Easy to drive around as it wasn't to big. The long box was great to bring our toys and it had the power to haul. Great comfortable family truck!

Performance
-The gas engine is great for light loads and no load based drives (i.e. you use this truck no because you want to haul heavy loads but as a personal preference).

Interiors
-Bit above average for a pickup truck

Exteriors
-Its not excessively large making it relatively more maneuverable in traffic if you wont be using all that space.

This is not a heavy duty pickup truck, this is great for personal use or any light loads.

I have owned this truck for three years and I love it more and more everyday. It's the LTZ model so it has everything from heated leather seats, sunroof, 6 disc CD player, Bose premium sound, and 20" premium wheels. It rides like a dream and looks great. Has tons of power for towing everything I have hitched up to. It's very comfortable on long drives and has a lot of room for my tall 6' 4 figure. The stock exhaust has a nice quiet rumble to it and the 20" wheels shine up real nice too. The Bose stereo sounds great with the windows up or down and I have no desire to change the speakers or add any kind of sub woofer. It has everything I could want in a truck......stock.

Had this truck for five years, traded it in on a new silverado when it had 300,000km on it. Only thing I had to replace was the fuel pump that went around 200,000. Overall a great truck for hauling and everyday driving. The 5.3 V8 offers a lot of power and sounded great when I upgraded the exhaust to a dual system. The stereo is also easy to upgrade, speakers, and deck. There is also plenty of room under the folding rear seat (extended cab) for sub-woofers.

They are a good dependable truck wish the gas mileage was a little better but with the 4.8 22 to 25 is going to be the best driving under 90 on the highway but overall I am satisfied with this truck would certainly buy another

The truck inside door handles are to LOW. I had to have 20,000 miles before the fuel average was better and is still not good.,it is far from what they recommend.And the truck is to high off the ground. I will be selling or trading if off in the next little bit. thanks Mike Dunlop
