Pontiac G8 2009-2010Change

I absolutely LOVE this car and everything about it. I own two! The 6.0 L V8 and the V6, they are sexy & fast, comfortable on road trips. Lots of room in the back for rear passengers. Handles like it's on rails. I would love to get a GXP!!

Bought ours used, from a Winnipeg dealer, in 2013, with 96,000 prairie KM on it. Sight unseen, had never driven one before ! Was delivered by transport to us.
Aside from a light valve train rattle in the engine ( extremely common with the "LS" 6 litre engine ), and an idler pulley on the way out... it's a pretty serious car !
PLENTLY of power, though in my opinion, a little too aggressive from idle / low RPM. Can actually be difficult to leave stop signs in a civilized manor.
Nice leather interior, responsive steering, safe cornering, and reasonably quiet at high speed. I would like a bit softer ride though.
I read some of the other reviews, with mild complaints about fuel economy... HHMMM... pleeeze, people... it's a 361+ HP rear wheel drive, performance sedan, that gets over 30 MPG on the highway. That's SPECTACULAR !

GM wanted me to trade it in form something newer but they, and every other dealer, have been unable to deliver anything comparable in this price range!! Find me a luxury 4 dr sedan that does 14 sec quarter miles, corners like it's on rails, looks and feels incredible, and is fun then we'll talk. I totally love my Holden Commodore Supercar....um, I mean Pontiac G8-GT!!

I love this car, GM wanted me to trade in for new but they can't offer me anything that competes. A 4dr sedan that feels luxurious, does a 14 sec quarter mile and corners like it's on rails...find me anything in this price range and maybe you'll convert me. I love my Holden Commodore...um I mean Pontiac G8-GT supercar!!

My experience with my G8 has been nothing but great! I love this car and have taken real good care of it.

Will be sad to see her go but I need the SUV I just got for my growing family.

If you are looking for something that stands out from the non descript boring sedans that populate our roads and highways, and want the performance to match, this is the car for you. Only marginally more thirsty than my previous car, which was a 2008 cadillac cts 3.6 DI awd, the G8 GT delivers a lot more bang for the buck, especially in sport shift mode, drop the hammer and launch yourself to highway speed (safely) in a heartbeat. Be roar for questions and comments everywhere you go, most don't know much about this Australian Holden built gem of a car. Interior trim feels a bit cheap in some places, but overall this car leaves you with a smile on your face when ever you drive it,

The Great Engine which has a sound, i did put aftermarket exhaust but i was my missing my engine sound, so i took it off. Not many people know about this car story which make me sad.

This is a reliable and luxurius car at the same time
it gave you a very fuel efficien ride on the highway wiht DOD
or Displacement on demeand (4 cyl or 8 cyl ) depending on how you drive
it got lot of Inside room in front or in back

This car has been excellent in performance and reliability. It handles amazing and has more than enough power to get you in trouble. Class and performance in one.

This is a wonderful car that has really garnered a lot of attention and has an outstanding exterior design and it is functional while being outstanding in performance. A large and roomy interior is enhanced by a large and spacious trunk for long trips and golfing!

When it was new, reviewers said that the 2009 Pontiac G8 offered performance that few rivals can match. It's been an absolute joy owning the Pontiac G8 GT. It's performance is on par if not better then many of it's BMW and Mercedes Benz counterparts. For the price, one would be hard pressed to find a car that performs and looks as good as the G8! The only real negative would be it's fuel economy but that is to be expected with a performance V8 sports sedan.

This has been a completely trouble free, excellent handling and performing automobile. It is extremely powerful, agile and exciting to drive. The V8 rear wheel drive configuration handles very well. The only downside, is the fuel economy, but what do you expect from a V8? This car has proven to be extremely reliable and problem free requiring only regular maintenance.

Let me tell you! This cars got the looks and power. I couldnt be more happy with buying this car.With just over 400rwhp the power and handling, along with the looks and comfort make this a great bang for your buck car. And on top of that its a real head turner with not to many on the roads people will look and ive been asked many times about the car and most people are shocked its a pontiac..

This car is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Excellent chasis, tremendous power. Inexpensive to modify if one prefers. And the most important feature for me - a very rare car to see on Canadian roads. Love my ride!!

This is a fast car. Extremely nice styling and a well made car. Not the best on fuel economy but thats not a big deal. Handels very well for a big car and is very comfy. Great bang for the buck!

Love this car, very fast. Exquisite design and quite affordable. Heated leather seats and blau punkt stereo makes this nice car even better.

Exterior is amazing , very confterable , love the sound system , interior very nice lines love the leather heated seats . I have the v6 3.6 , powerful and to expensive on gas considering the size of the car .

the ride is stiff not too firm, the G8 base V6 model is great on gas. performance wise it's good not great for a naturally aspirated engine. If you want performance aim for the V8 version. So far i haven't had any major issues except for clucking from the front ball joints and tire pressure monitor issues.
