Got my Caravan about a year ago and have already had to do a full brake job. (28,000km) at a cost of almost $1000.00. The new motor is very good and strong but the 6spd trans is still a week point. Shifts at low and high rpm can be harsh, slow and clunky. Considering its low low starting price can be good value, just watch for hefty repair bills.

Pick it up used with the 2.0T FSI Engine and the DSG 6SPD Trans. Best car I've owned! I will be looking for another VW when it's time to trade this in. Loads of great German touches and quality!
