Toyota Corolla 1995Change

I've had this car since it was handed down to me by my grandmother, and has been the most reliable car I've ever driven. It initially had some issues with battery life and door locking mechanisms, but that is to be expected from an older car. Otherwise, it is incredibly fuel efficient and reliable, aside from the tape deck and obvious dated interior.

It was my first car that I bought, it didn't have anything fancy but I was able to use it for a very long time (1997 - 2010). It has served me well to go travel around, but just wish it was a hatchback as it was not easy to bring bigger items with this car (couldn't even fold seats).

Great car in excellent running condition. 1st owner bought it new and commuted from Nanaimo to Victoria, then we bought it and just drive it where we need to go!

easy to drive , good to buy as a my first car, it has two door only, sometimes it's not very good if we have 4 people.

It's a nice car. I bought it second-hand last year, and it still works in perfect condition. It has a smooth, comfortable ride and it always gets myself and my car mates from point A to point B safely and reliably.

This car isn't all that flashy, it doesn't have a CD player or automatic windows or locks, but it just keeps going and going. It takes a ton of neglect and doesn't seem to care. Not even much rust on it, considering how old it is.
I plan on driving this car into the ground. I've heard of some Toyotas lasting into the 300,000 kms range. We'll see!

I own this car for 6 years, enjoying the fuel efficiency, comfort. I would have keep this car for another 5 years if my did not get me a great deal on a 2007 car.

Pros: I like everything the car was passed down to me after my father passed away. He constantly maintained the car. I have done the same only giving it a major tune up and timing belt and brakes. Car is solid and reliable, still has original half shafts from when it was new. I just started using 89 octane in it and it runs better. 150,000+ miles on it and still going. One of the best cars I have owned.
Cons: I don't like the style of the bumper covers but that is just a minute thing.

We bought our 1995 Corolla in January 1996, when it was a year old. We sold it in December 2012, at age 18 years. During those 18 years it had NO PROBLEMS. None! Sure, we had to replace the brakes and muffler periodically, but less often than on many cars - and that was all. We did regular oil changes. We replaced the timing belt at 100,000 km. No other repairs. And when we sold it - which we only did because the kids had left home, I had retired, and we really couldn't justify having two cars any more - it was still running as well as it did when we bought it.

Anyone looking for an inexpensive car that it extremely reliable and inexpensive to maintain should head straight for a Corolla from the mid-1990s.

When looking for a car, this car will come out on top with reliability, financial superiority. Its flaws however, contain its asthetics and interior, which is rather small. For a first car or an simple get around vehicle, this is one of the best choices out there.

I've had it for 7 years, it is such a great car. Only general maintenance has been required. It is good on gas and is a great commuter car.

I have owned 2 of these... they are reliable as anything and fairly easy to maintain. Yeah, in the days of hybrids the fuel economy isn't great... but if you can only afford a $3000 car this one will make it worth your while.

Being as old as it is it's still the best car ever. It's reliable as ever. It got us to Boston and back even though before the trip it started falling a part a little bit. It's not the most stylish car but it's comfy and performs well. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Toyota's car are the best type of cars there are.

I must say that I'm very comfortable driving this car. Had it for the longest time and just only had minor issues with it.

Owned since new and have not had any issues outside of regular maintenance. Car is boring to drive and does not get noticed but is great for getting from A to B and looks like it will continue to do that for another 15 years. Corolla is really underpowered but gas mileage is great in the city. Interior has worn well but some things are starting to show age now with fading.

Performance was good enough. Fuel economy was good enough. Then you get to drive other cars and look back and think about it, and realize that this car is not really meant for short (5'1" and below) people like me. You can't adjust the seat high enough to be able to see the front part without using a "booster" sit. Other than that, this car is good enough.

The Toyota Corolla was my first car and I loved it. I bought it second hand, and it was already a 10 year old car by then. I seldom had any issues with it and took me to and from work everyday for four years to without any issues - very reliable. Also, it only cost me $40 twice a week for gas.
